Meylah Case Study
Meylah is a premier cloud solution provider dedicated to supporting and growing an ecosystem of businesses doing business in the cloud. Meylah does this through a variety of solutions including its “cloud readiness” initiative; by supporting the small IT partners that serve businesses that are currently operating in the cloud or that want to get on the cloud; and by providing turnkey solutions such as its marketplace of cloud ecommerce stores for small businesses.
Part of Meylah’s solution set involves use of the Microsoft Azure platform to develop cloud solutions. Meylah is a Microsoft Gold Partner.
“Overall the bigger mission we have is to empower a million businesses to do business online. We focus on a hybrid cloud environment and want to enable small businesses to understand the benefits and find partners to help them,” Meylah co-founder and CMO Chaitra Vedullapalli says.
Meylah wanted to tap into, and educate, business decision makers about the benefits of the cloud. Meylah had two goals:
After looking at a variety of marketing options, Meylah partnered with Small Business Trends on a sponsored content campaign. The Small Business Trends staff of professional journalists immediately got to work interviewing cloud specialists who shared their expertise on a regular series of articles about not only the benefits of the cloud, but practical tips about how to make the transition to the cloud and how to get the support they needed.
Thought leadership articles sponsored by Meylah were then publicized to the Small Business Trends audience.
To date, over 24 informative and educational articles have been written and published by Small Business Trends. Meylah was so pleased with the results that it extended the campaign for another year. What’s more, Small Business Trends and Meylah took things a step further and then together produced a special edition of the Small Business Trends digital magazine called “Cloud Transformation Demystified.” The magazine has a distribution network of 80,000. In addition, the Cloud Magazine is served to Microsoft partners to leverage as a resource to drive cloud transformation of their business. “We knew going into this campaign that it would be a long-term effort. Content accumulates over time, and it is the accumulated message from the series of sponsored content that drives results. What pleasantly surprised us was how well the content campaign delivered results in the form of new business for Meylah,” said Vedullapalli. As a direct result of the special magazine edition and the content campaign on Small Business Trends, Meylah attracted the attention of many clients and secured a deal for a new cloud-based project in the local community. “Small Business Trends with its extensive reach including the site and the magazine, and its credibility with small businesses, is the perfect partner for this campaign,” Vedullapalli added.
